Get your body, mind and soul moving with Jeany from SOULMotion. Yoga on the Grass @ Bloom 2019 is designed for all levels and will leave experienced and beginner yoga practitioners challenged, revived, relaxed and ready to start the day!

Jeany Svhall | SOULMotion
Meet Health and Wellbeing Coach, Jeany from SoulMotion. With years of experience in health and wellbeing, she has ventured through many layers of human health. Jeany is a senior yoga teacher, fitness professional, nutritionist, kahuna body worker and a student of psychological sciences. On her journey of working with clients of all abilities, ages and needs she deeply immerses herself into a very holistic approach to health and wellbeing. In her yoga classes she facilitates a dynamic and well-structured sequences with focus on alignment and stability.

 

Body Awareness, Fascia release and Emotions
Co Lab: Wellness Embodied & Motion Osteopathy

As renowned writer and reseracher Bessel Van Der Kolk states, ‘The Body Keeps the Score’. Trauma, stress and overwhelm can have a significant effect on pain and movement within the body. This workshop will consist of a mixture of gentle movement and fascial release sequences, combined with breathing, grounding and education on the link between the mind and body. You’ll leave feeling energised, refreshed and full of helpful strategies to help you manage pain, stress and movement issues.

Meet your instructors:

Suzanne Rath | Wellness Embodied
As the Practice Principal of Wellness Embodied, Suzanne leads a physiotherapy team with a holistic, whole person focus to assessment and treatment. She draws on over 13 years of clinical experience and personal pitfalls which include 2 years of fatigue, headaches and anxiety following a major accident to create a healthy practice culture of connection, learning and kindness. Suzanne practices Craniosacral Therapy and has a keen personal interest in the effects of emotional trauma, stress and anxiety on the pain experience. In clinic, she uses this to help manage conditions such as complex pain and PTSD.

Jane Brewer | Motion Osteopathy
Jane uses Pilates as a movement tool to reduce tension, improve postural strength, mobility and stability throughout the body as necessary for the individual. Jane completed a Diploma of Movement Therapy through Pilates ITC, she has also completed the BASI fully comprehensive training, and a Cert 4 in Fitness from CDU. Jane has completed a number of specialty workshops with Body Organics.

 

Earthing Outdoors
Saturday & Sunday: 3:00pm

Join us for some beautiful outdoor Earthing whilst we chat through the science behind Grounding and the benefits it can bring to your body. Laura from Earthing Oz will talk about how to incorporate more Earthing into your daily lives, and use a Multimeter to take body voltage readings on you.

Sunday: 11:00am – 12:30pm

Change happens through movement and movement heals ~ Joseph Pilates
Pilates is a great avenue to fitness, strength and overall wellbeing. Join the team from Motion Osteopathy for a tailored Pilates session under the trees. Active Lab is for anyone who has ever considered trying Clinical Pilates, or for anyone wanting to refresh their skills.

Discover the basic techniques essential to Pilates/Movement Therapy, including:
– Breath Work
– Engaging ‘core’ muscles and setting up correct posture (neutral pelvis and spine)
– Pelvic and spinal stability
– Setting up correct movement patterns for the legs, arms and neck
– Performing safe movements for the spine
– Exercises to practice at home

To ensure quality care is provided during the class, places will be limited to 15 participants, expressions of interest are recommended, please email reception@motionosteopathy.com.au

What should I wear? The instructors at Motion will try and convince you to wear fluro lycra to their classes, but this is purely for their entertainment, anything you feel comfortable moving in will be great.

What should I bring? Just a bottle of water if you would like to, everything else will be provided.

Michelle Castalini | Pilates Instructor
Michelle has a special interest in sports injury rehabilitation as well as enhancing athletic performance through body awareness and improving movement patterns. Michelle graduated from Sao Camilo University Centre, Brazil, with equivalent BBiolSc and DipEd. Since moving to Australia Michelle has also completed her Cert III and IV in Fitness as well as post graduate Pilates workshops with Studio Pilates International and Body Organics.

Billie-Joe Noending | Pilates Instructor
Billie-Jo has an interest in encouraging safe and practical movement for people of all ages. She believes Pilates not only improves mobility and strength but most importantly builds better postural alignment and body awareness. Billie-Jo is currently undertaking the Diploma in Pilates Movement Therapy through Body Organics/ APMA.
